Video wins for one-off walkthroughs, screen behavior that is hard to describe, and audiences who watch faster than they read. Most teams need both, and the tools that do one well rarely do the other well.

Video walkthroughs
- Show behavior that is hard to describe in text.
- Carry tone: hesitation, emphasis, walkthrough of a decision.
- Faster to produce for a one-off request.
- Better for audiences who prefer watching over reading.
How to pick between them
Ask how often the SOP will be run. Under three times, a video is often the right call. Over ten times, a text SOP earns its keep. Between, do whichever your team will maintain.
